We are very excited to invite you to our Balanced Practice Yoga Retreat Langkawi, an exclusive yoga and lifestyle experience for 12 participants set in rainforest by the sea on the island of Langkawi.

This 7 day, 6 night retreat is an opportunity to step back from the pressures of day to day life, to restore quietness to your mind and help you back to your true centre.

Attention will be dedicated to all layers of ourselves using the tools of asana, pranayama and meditation to reconnect with who we really are in order to live every moment of every day with a deeper sense of joy and fulfilment.

Langkawi is named after the Brahminy Kite eagles who soar the skies over the islands, an amalgamation of the Malay  word “Helang” (eagle) and “Kawi” (Sanskrit for the bird’s reddish-brown tone).

Home to an abundance of extraordinary wildlife including 200 bird species, Langkawi is known for its lush rainforests, waterfalls, mangroves and pearl white beaches including Pantai Cenang and Pantai Tengah. Langkawi is an archipelago of 99 islands, the largest also named Langkawi. The island has an International Airport with flights from around Asia and regular domestic flights from Kuala Lumpur.

Set in the rainforest overlooking the sea, your luxury accommodation offers walking access to white sandy beaches as well as the opportunity to completely relax and unwind by the pool.

Your yoga classes each day will include a morning asana,  meditation and pranayama class; each morning building on the previous so you have a practice to take home with you. In the afternoons,  a deep relaxation class or evening restorative practice. Your timetable will also include workshops including breath-work, yoga energetics and Ayurveda.

You’ll be nourished with vegetarian and optional veg/seafood meals served at Ambong’s famous Rimba and Pegaga restaurants.

Ambong Rainforest Retreat is a boutique hilltop rainforest resort located above the white sands of Pantai Tengah. Elevated in the serenity of Langkawi’s tropical rainforest, Ambong offers a peaceful and secluded escape.
