BALANCED PRACTICE YOGA RETREATS

BlueGreen Sanctuary
Byron Bay

26TH FEBRUARY TO 3RD MARCH 2025

Join Liz Bennett and Amelia Disspain on a Total Escape to yogic living in the beauty of nature.

We are very excited to invite you to our Balanced Practice Yoga Retreat, which we will be holding at BlueGreen Sanctuary,  nestled in the hinterland behind Byron Bay.

This 5 day retreat is an opportunity to step back from the pressures of day to day life, to restore quietness to your mind and ease you back to the creative joy of your true centre.

Yoga

Two yoga classes a day to make more space for peace inside yourself.

Two workshops to help you harness tools from the yoga tradition in your daily life.

Location

BlueGreen Sanctuary was named to invoke the ‘blue’ from the huge sky, the distant mountains; and ‘green’ from the rainforest trees, macadamia and coffee plantations that cushion the boundaries. During your days here, there is plenty of time to explore the five acres of sub tropical scenery. Chat around the fire pit at night surrounded by the sounds of the rainforest. During the days and balmy evenings, you might wander amongst the trees, read by the pool, rest in one of the beautiful common areas, or enjoy silence and reflection in this deeply nurturing space. Our retreat group will have exclusive use of the entire property during our retreat.

Accomodation

Our accommodation includes peaceful and spacious luxury bedrooms, most with en-suites.

Choose between King size beds or King singles if sharing.

Your Teachers

The Total Escape Retreat will be led by senior Yoga Teacher Amelia Disspain alongside Yoga Therapist and Physiotherapist Liz Bennett. As teachers with a combined experience of over 40 years we will support you over five transformative days to deepen your yoga practice.

Nourishing Food

You will be nourished with three gorgeous organic vegetarian meals each day – lovingly prepared by local plant based chef Aja Schofield. Ajas’ international travel and her love for nature have inspired her style of cooking, as do Ayurvedic medicine, the healing benefits of spices, and exotic tropical fruits.

She embraces traditional cultures and cuisines while combining revolutionary and innovative techniques into her dishes.

For Aja cooking is not only about eating, it’s about the process of growing and healing. She  works in the rhythm of nature to create nutrient-dense food and embrace radiant health, sustainable preparation, and holistic living.
